Our goal is to be able to buy at least two properties the first year and double the figure every year.

I certainly approve of your "feel comfortable" goal, and as you keep learning, maybe the definition of what will make you comfortable will change.

My goal is to put my family in a better place to become financially free.

After we accomplish that first goal we decided that we would take half a year off to spend it in California and Hawaii visiting family and friends.

You don't want to get stuck adhering to terms that don't fit with your goals just because the previous owner put them in place!

I am interviewing for some internships at commercial real estate brokers for next summer, but my ultimate goal down the road is to be someone who invests in and manages properties full time.

My ultimate goal is to acquire rental properties so that is what I seek to do first.While I've had a few properties under contract I haven't closed any deals yet.
