Any landlord renting to a individual receiving welfare is taking a extremely high risk.

I went where everyone recommends you go when you’re starting out in real estate: my family.My parents are middle class, have a paid off house, substantial savings, and are both employed; however, they are extremely conservative financially, so I wasn’t sure how it would go.

Can also do this again on backpage but would definitely word it extremely different as to not seem like a scam (on different days as well).

So it's very conceivable (and has happened to me) that extremely pertinent information about a property (such as the presence of open, still-accuring violations) will only be obtainable by doing a records request at the municipality level.

I would say most of us have two sides, although not always to the extreme.

@Adam Kozuch I don't think you have to go to those extrems.

Most counties work extensively with owner occupants and it's extremely rare that you get an improved property, much less an occupied one.There is typically no mortgage or else the bank would have paid the back taxes to preserve it's collateral.But stranger things have happened...
