If you have no experience that you can promote to back yourself up on it going to be a hard sell....just having your degree isnt going to be enough.

I hopped on a webinar tonight with Maverick Investor Group (promoted by a marketing email from someone whom I trust greatly in this business).

It was a nice property listed then at below $700k and I personally found it enticing to invest in an area belonging to a prestigious town such as Montclair. 

They don't really promote that as one of their services (not sure why not), but it's almost like having a free credit monitoring service.

So if you are willing to invest a fair amount of money in something to just have it pay for your free vacations occasionally, you have a safe bet, but if your goal is to make money, self management would be the most secure way to go, if one or both of you is willing to learn how to promote your cabin on social media, rental platforms, etc. 

They put a big HGTV star to promote it our was Brian Baeumler.
