Taxes due for flip with married couple both with W-2 earnings

Depending on the operating agreement, if one partner is a non-managing member within the LLC, his/her income may potentially be deemed not subject to self-employment taxes. His actions regarding the LLC would then have to match what the LLC Agreement says.I.E. if the LLC Agreement mentions one member is a managing member and the other is a non-managing member. The non-managing member would not have a say in the operations of the company.best of luck.

Starting out (Mentorship)

That reason will be different for each potential mentor--some mentors will want a monetary return on their time, others will want leads, some will want you to solve problems for them, some simply want the satisfaction of helping you (it's not always about money), some might even be willing to mentor you if they like your sense of humor or personality...but point being: you have to figure out what the mentor wants, and then decide whether you can bring that thing to the table.

First house hack - Should I be considering section 8?
26 January 2024 | 11 replies
(Still unsure if this actually correlates to rent price as the housing authority rep that I spoke to was very ambiguous when I asked what potential rents I could receive)The only reason that I'm considering is because this purchase was by no means a great deal, I just wanted to have something cheaper than my rent while learning how to renovate/manage a property.

Advice on Fix & Flips in Englewood Chicago

If the average days on the market for recently sold properties is relatively low and they are selling close to the listing price then the data is telling you that the risk of purchasing, renovating and reselling quickly is relatively low, despite the crime data.Establishing local relationships and having a team on the ground that you can trust can mitigate the risk associated with a potentially bad neighborhood.Regarding West Englewood- We sold a property in that neighborhood in the fall for an absentee owner.
