I mean you would be bored to death if you did not do something. and there is only so much golf you can play or just sit around .I think staying in some enterprise until you head for the pearly gates keeps you young and engaged..

I don't know but I think there is some merit to the discussion of auto loans, student debt, geo-political problems particularly with North Korea, the death of retail and office use, government protectionism all are good guesses. 

I am deathly afraid of having to work until I'm 65+ and really having nothing to show for it like many of my family members will most likely do.

You may choke to death as someone feeds you because you'll forget how to swallow.I would aim for 7-8 hours of sleep every night.

  :)  on any given day there will be one location that is the hottest in the US  "Death Valley  or  Red Bluff area "  or the coldest  Truckee  just north of Tahoe.

There's children dying of totally curable diseases living amidst open sewers and starving to death too, by the millions, in Bombay proper.  

Then you get taxed to death.
