I know you want it to supprise a friend but, in all honesty you should have your friend call in to the mortgage company, ask for a pay-off good to xyz date then cut a check payable to the mortgage company and hand it to him or her.

I've had the ending date for interest be extended to allow for time for checks to transit, but I don't see any reason for paying interest for a week before you own the house.Was that shown on the good faith estimate?

Neither....WWEI.Leh and Wamu werent penny stocks when I got the check.I just took a complete gamble with WWEI.The only think it had going for it was its a wind company and Pickens announced his plan interest spiked and took it to .20.Though I believe its a scam company because they have been touting a PPA for a windfield and keep pushing the dates out.I wouldn't invest in the company.
