The beauty for the Investor is that he starts earning interest immediately upon investment AND the Investor doesn't have to worry about a project not fully funding from the crowd - Fundrise takes an equity position with the residual that wasn't subscribed from the crowd.

id take a walk on this 1 you will never get your money back on that let it go to auction the owner mite not like it but it be better on you some body mite get it less than what they want they owe to much some buddy is going to take a hit let it be the bank the owner is allready in trouble dont waste ur time

@Frank Gigliotti   if you have done well in your state you can do well anywhere.. its really a life style choice.there is a reason that 1/4 of the nations population lives in 5 states on the west coast.LIfestyle  then there is lifestyle and of course the lifestyle... throw in weather. natural beauty etc etc.. there was another thread about getting out of Real estate and the one who created the thread lives in Lima Ohio  where the heck is that?

The middle part of the city, which includes downtown, Lake Merritt, and stretching all the way to the Oakland hills, is actually quite nice with a lot of beautiful neighborhoods.I understand the SF hipsters have discovered Oakland and are starting to move there because it's less expensive than SF.

I know an investor here who gave away a house on Hatton Street, in contrast there are some beautiful homes on Maple Street although they are probably less than 100 yards apart.

Toss in a giant 8 foot fence - 6ft chainlink with 2 ft of Concertina-Wire (find a military surplus store to get this)..Plant tall bushes to give the facade of a beautiful neighborhood, and get a variance to put a gate across the road.
