Property went for over asking, which is always a good win!

Our state legislature is looking for quick wins that appeal to tenants, and it looks really good from an electoral perspective, given who the majority of voters are.

If you win the bid at a tax sale you then go through a waiting period that allows relatives or anyone else who has a legal claim to the property to come forward and pay the taxes plus interest to you or not do anything and let property go to you and you get a special deed. 

I am not sure it is a win win situation though.

Built rapport with the sellers and handled tricky negotiations to get the price to where it needed to be so that it was a win-win-win for the sellers, my colleague and I, and the flipper.

Not next to a fourplex with all kinds of cars parked in the driveway and kids out in the street.Your goal as a house-hacker should be to control a more-expensive property for less than the amount it would normally cost you every month, reducing your monthly obligation to the expenses and winning on ROI with the appreciation on a pricier property.With minimal down payment, even on a fourplex the best you can hope for really is to break even every month and essentially live rent free.

I have about 10 days to make this a win-win.

I’m sure there’s some law that says it must be fair and reasonable, but other than taking them to court, it’s doubtful that you’ll win that one.

If not sold at FC auction, then our intentions are to fire sale the home at a price that makes it a win win for us and the buyer.
