We have a few dozen resort communities that are built specifically to be STR and you won't have to worry about zoning or regulations or even HOA cutting you out.It is a very competitive market with so many units, so you do have to be a good operator and have a clean, attractive, well located and themed out home to stand out and perform well

The only way to address this is with greater transparency, not stonewalling.Honestly, any lender who can't produce something more than a "generic testimonial page" gets a well-deserved "hairy eyeball" from me!

When I rehabbed the basement I tore out the existing drywall ceiling and added sound-proofing insulation followed by a 5/8" fire-rated drywall thinking that would be enough, but apparently the tenants can hear us walking, the dogs claws (we have hardwoods) as well as the TV.
