I'm curious to hear people's stories of someone who wanted to invest in rental real estate but got in over their heads through taking on too much debt, stumbling during rising interest rates with an adjustable rate mortgage, etc.

Hello Fellow DMV Investors,Here are some interesting recent stories from the D.C. real estate world.

My moms toilet ran for 4 hours and caused $120,000 in a 2 story building.

I have numerous properties so I lost track of it for a little bit, and when I found out I paid the entire late amount in full immediately......but they put a 60 day late notice on my credit report (its nice when they send my delinquent letters to my rental property).Long story short Im currently in the middle of a conventional escrow and this popped up on my score yesterday. 

Maybe they’ll see the stories of single people living in 4 bedroom apartments 10 years after their family moves out because a 1 bedroom would cost more today.
