@Lance Lewton we went a little different direction for our first investment and bought a beach house in Galveston as a short term rental.

To provide further detail, since the house is in proximity to a beach the land there is pretty much all sand.1) It is in-ground pool2) there is poured concrete around the pool.

Got to Vegas for a great weekend, put money in a lot of low risk investments, and buy a place on the beach, with a nearby Tiki bar.
