Most renters are not "Playing the Market" or involved in "International Currency Trading".So this seems to be a non-issue.Also, if you haven't looked lately the economy is doing great.The media lies about most things, depending on it for useful information is probably not best.Good Luck!

People who rent short-term rentals on the Riviera Maya do so because they want to go around and visit the area so they will never base themselves in Cozumel because it's an island.Tulum is 2 hours away from Cancun International Airport and it is connected through a very nice highway and this is fine for most people (and there will be soon a high speed train that should reduce the connection time substantially).
