I am looking at a house in a rural area (nearest town population is 600) The numbers on the place look good for a fix and flip, but there is a cellphone tower right across the road from the house.

If you've already gone down that road, I apologize for over-explaining.

As some of you mentioned, being upfront with the bank about the intention to transfer down the road seems like a good idea to me, and unless they tell me explicitly not to do it, I will follow the "beaten" paths.

Have you identified a piece of property and have you looked around for a builder in your area/state that might specialize in self storage construction? 

It also will allow you down the road to sell the property and take the gain from the primary residence side tax free if you qualify.
