We decided to take 2 weeks to study the market to see if there were multi family properties or single family properties with multi family potential even available in our price range.We found a duplex in the roseville area that we are very excited about.

I have a 5/2.5 house that is close to Tyndall and was debating on renting to single family or possibly renting out rooms individually to single enlisted members(almost like college housing).

Single family, multi, turnkey, etc?

I am looking to buy into a family members property and be 50/50 partners after paying them half of their current equity in the property.

We are looking for multi family units up to $600k or up to $400k single-family homes or townhomes. 

Assume $5k per unit and count the exterior as a unit, so a 4 family would be 5 units and assume $25k expense after closing.If you have any questions, let me know, I'd be happy to answer them for you.Good Luck,Derreck

With this loans it seems you cannot build a multi-family home.

Currently own my primary residence and 2 investment properties are a beach condo (short term) and single family home (long term rental).The problem is I run a successful business and have no time to do the research in new markets, deal flow, upgrades, making sure cashflow, property management, etc.I am also not a real estate professional.
