Welcome to BP.I'm a bit South of you in the greater Singapore area...I can't say that I would ever advocate buying locally in any of these countries for long term cash flow, especially when you have established RE contacts (family) back home...and more especially when you're going to be throwing enough USD around within a 36mo period to generate 10k/mo cash flow.That said, I don't work for one of the largest brands known to man nor do I give excellent TedTalks, so perhaps you know what you're doing after-all :)You're an asset here at BP and I'm sure others, along with myself, would be interested in hearing what you're doing there in Vietnam.

It would also be great if this agent/broker has excellent, quality property management connections since this a long distance purchase.

It's a great candidate for a cash flow property, for the neighborhood, school district, etc.

A few particulars that may be relevant:1) I will not be occupying any of these units.2) I have enough cash to go up to 50% down on any of the places I'm currently considering, though I'd prefer to stick to a 20-30% downpayment.3) I have excellent credit.
