I asked for a copy of their pay stubs, called their jobs to ensure they were employed and did a basic check by googling their all of  their names.

While I like my current career and where I work I have always envisioned myself as self employed.

However, I will also say the article does make a point about my generation.We don't rely on, or are loyal to companies or employers, because we don't have confidence they will do the same when it comes down to it.

I'm in Charlotte employed 40 hours plus.

The Sarasota county tax collectors should have all the approriate forms, and generally the employes are helpful.  

By the way, the only screening I do is criminal record and proof of employment.

Perhaps it was the method he employed to make the money, not the fact that he made $11M.

For example, a full time employed person may not be able to see the property and apply until after their work shift, while someone else may have more flexibility and be able to beat the others to get their application in first.

Since you have no steady income maybe consider partnering with someone that DOES have stable employment that is looking to invest.
