While flips of the magnitude I've seen in the Ashburton and Forest Park neighborhoods are far to daunting for me some of you may be interested.

VA Loan, lived in it for a year, built a salt water pool overlooking the lake, re-did floor downstairs and re-faced staircase, and moved out.How did you add value to the deal?

I bought a house to rehab and flip or rent just a few minutes outside the Villages (Lake Panasoffkee), but haven't had the time to get to it so it's on the market. 

@Leilah Davis  I have built duplexes in Gentilly (near UNO/lake), upper bywater and midcity.

I'm originally from the Grand Rapids area but am not in that market.Sold a large piece of acreage in the Fife Lake area a few months ago.I will add that northern MI property fluctuates a lot with the economy of the state.

Others who are in on BC seem to be looking at places on Vancouver Island (a few towns are workable, many others are similar to Vancouver), the interior in places like Prince George and the Lakes District around the Okanagan.

The monthly meetup with the kick in the rear I needed to get things lined out.Another thought, since we're in the same area, is lake rentals.
