I understand what you're saying, but unless you something in your deed/title transferring you a structure, that is on land you don't own, I don't think the fact the county is assessing you for it, gives you ownership.

@Mark SwovelandAs soon as you stop working at your day job, you can transfer the funds to a self-directed IRA or solo 401k and invest the funds in rental properties.
