I don't know if all the moisture in this photo was because the floor is soaked or if this is because they sprayed it with something.This is quite an aggressive home renovation they have done without even consulting me.

I have personally talked to people on BP that were about to withdraw or borrow against their retirement accounts to attend a guru course, because they were so aggressively sold on the idea that they would make that money back ASAP.

It generally works itself out but it adds a layer of complexity that is less in a single family home: Negotiating a good neighbor fence with the property owner of the rental house next door can be a pain, but, (short of an aggressive s dog in one yard or the other), it is generally less intense than a neibor's bathtub leaking into your unit, or vice versa.
