I have been presented with an opportunity to invest in 2 syndications: 1) a 500 unit Garden Style (advertised as Class B) apartment community located in the Peachtree Corners neighborhood (around Hwy 140 and 141) of Norcross Georgia and 2) a 200 unit (what looks to be Class C) apartment community at Hillandale Drive near I-10 in Lithonia, GA 30058.

From my families first impression and some research on my end, im interested in anything close to the downtown (which looks like there is a good amount of investment proposed), something in the dundee/ aksarben area which they say is kind of a hip and up and coming area, or something in west omaha (more expensive but better neighborhoods etc.)

So maybe getting a C class property in a B or A class neighborhood is the way to go so you can over time improve the property and raise the value.

I am one of those newbies right now, but I’ve been working diligently to find that first deal, combing MLS, Craigslist ads of my own, driving neighborhoods and sending out mailers, dragging my agent and contractor to houses so we can all be on the same page when we do find a good one.
