Since I attempt to buy and hold through the BRRRR method, I do lean heavily on finding the After Repair Value (ARV) through trusted comparable sales I get from a trusted real estate agent or I located myself of the MLS (multiple listing services).

BUT, if you are newer and attempting to learn and they are putting money into the deal i would take a smaller cut because its more experience for you and they are pretty much paying your real estate "tuition".

That's an interesting thought @Richard Weinberg, I shudder to think that that's the case, but then these days seems that companies are unwilling to examine the conflicts of interest they are creating when they attempt to enter horizontals/verticals to continue providing growth to the market!
