@Reginald Silva  For an investment property, the amount of reserves will vary based on how many properties you own and how much you have outstanding with other mortgages.If it's a primary residence, you often don't need reserves. 

I tried to call the local housing authority to ask about outstanding vouchers but they aren't very responsive.

So far the syndicator has done outstanding with this approach.
