If your fiancé wants to sell to create more wealth, I see that as the best outcome possible.

Keep in mind selling property can make you rich, renting out property makes you wealthy.

Again, the problem with this scenario is you CAN diversify but 2/3 of your wealth is going to be tied up in real estate DSTs. 

My loan officer keeps telling me the best way to build real estate wealth is to finance a home with low money down and then live in the house for 2 years, after two years buy another home with little money down and keep the first home as a rental property and keep going from there.

I think Suffolk might hold a different culture and there is more I need to uncover before I proceed.

I ended up going with Keller Williams because of their training and support and mainly their culture.

The whole tech culture is shiny new and they would prefer a sterile high end apartment. 

I spent my time raising money FIRST then went at it.Its no mystery how to find the deals.. the hard part unless your very wealthy bay area techie is raising the money.

If you are looking to build long term wealth, I think having a good rental portfolio is best.  

Not all landlords are wealthy capitalist.
