@Nat Chan - This typically means that the drain pipe is either not installed correctly, or it is clogged.

Hello,I would like to put down laminate/wood flooring in one of the houses I own once the current tenants move out.The carpeting that is currently in place is on it's last leg, and the tenants have pets so I expect the condition upon their move out to require replacement anyways.My question is: may I use the portion of the security deposit that I would have used to purchase new carpeting towards the purchase/installation of laminate/wood flooring?

good question @Barshay Graves  ... i was a plumber many years ago and replaced a lot of galv. back then copper was the best option... these days pex pipe for water pipe is so easy to install plumbers are installing for less and makes a huge job of repipe not as much of a challenge. get your prices for waste and water replacement (pvc or abs pipe for waste)  (pex for water)  and shop around a bit.
