You asked if the #’s makes sense, and you need to be heeding the advice of these folks who are telling you no.

I do agree w/ @Aman S. on variables to consider and believe that metering of units is a big factor in pricing becuase of the ability to minimize variability in your expenses. 

These loans can have as little as 0-5% down payment requirements, so you can stretch that fledgling war-chest as far as possible.Honestly I tend to agree with @Benjamin Seibert and @Thomas S., recommending that you keep practicing your underwriting while aggressively building up your war-chest.

@Rohit S Bora What did you decide to do with the property?

Chances are, out of all the 1000's of home for sale this year in Austin, the one next probably isn't the best deal. 

I currently have a single family home in Houston now that I just put on the market for renting and the difference between rent amount and mortgage is not encouraging and still looking for tenant s.

@Michael S. -- I believe I would only be making payments if I had pulled money out from the line (its an LOC, not a loan)  Otherwise it's just considered a big credit card, with no debt on it.
