The other qn I have is - I am sure , you had this duplex plan at the time of buying , were you aware of the height issue or were you under the impression that , you would just duplex down and realized after closing .On a tangent , regarding contractors , I would suggest to stick to individual trades , I understand your rationale for finding that good GC , but I wont waste time .

Tenants may say they desire an option to buy or even a "rent to own" but frequently won;t perform on their end or want to misunderstand their rent payment is somehow a downpayment for the property or should be credited in this way.

I understand that sometimes a deal might not be that interesting after all, but many times, it is interesting AT CERTAIN PRICE 💰💰Then, as a buyer, you should ALWAYS submit an offer, dont be shy, most sellers/brokers understand that this is a business and wont get offended by "low" offers.
