To me, money is merely a tool I can use to provide for my [future] family, help my neighbors across the street or across the ocean, and do my best to shine just a little bit more light into this world. 

If that is the case, I'd look into Real Crowd ($25K minimum) or Crowd Street.  

Now, it gets better...On the same street and same block as mine, there have been several properties that have been retail flips that have sold for $125k - $140k.

It is a three bedroom ranch, not sure if 1 or 2 baths, 1 car garage on a dead end street in the most preferred school district in the area.The property was purchased for $95K in 1996 and I’m guessing would sell in it’s current condition in the low to mid $100s.

Its a homepath 30k home that needs significant updating...not worth flipping but im a buy and hold guy and its right down the street from my other investment and i can rent it out for around 1k a month.

There is no public sewage on the street we purchased on either. 

Its listed for 250k and probably worth that if it weren't on a busy street.  

Currently tax appraisal at 58K which is average for the street and immediate neighborhood.  

New investor under contract for my first rental property.It's an older duplex in the ghetto, side by side 3 beds 1 bath each on a side street next to an elementary school.
