My goals are to build a supplemental retirement income for my husband and I (we are a little bit behind) and to build an income producing career for myself so that my husband can pursue an alternative career and leave his $140000 yr job without much of a change in living standards.

Most of you know my story of how I went from being homeless at one point in my life, to starting in Real Estate less then two years ago with $30K saved, and by implementing the information I learned on BiggerPockets, today I now own 10 cash flowing properties Free & Clear with no mortgages that I call my blue collar retirement plan.  

Does the approach of spending all of my extra income on real estate a good idea or should I diversify some income into different retirement strategies?

Some of the original home builders are coming out of retirement to help, but they won't be the ones swinging the hammers...I don't know where they'll all come from.

Why did you decide to retire at that point?

I optioned 15 lots .. bought 4... built 3.We sold one to a local policeman ,   one we sold to a couple from Dallas that wanted to get out of the Dallas heat and humidity... they can work from home.and the last one closes this month sold to a couple that retired after living in Portland and wants to live on the ORegon coast.

Since he is otherwise retired, lives close and owns 1/3rd, he doesnt draw a significant salary (15k/yr).
