Just do your homework and call around.The legal and ethical requirements in selling your own property (whether you are listing it or not) are extremely heightened and everyone will hold you to an incredibly high level; that goes for flips or rentals.

I would just try to stay away from some of high crime areas, as I think you would struggle to get a solid local team excited about working in those areas.

Since it's a rental unit for the future after you move, you don't want to go too high end to please yourself and not get the value out of it on the other end when you leave.
