If you also have central air conditioning, the furnace installer can plumb the inside air conditioner drain (A-coil drain) and the furnace drain into the same pipe.Sometimes there are federal, state, or local rebates or tax credits for adding insulation. 

There is a valve on the boiler system we keep because  we have had one fail, there are five of them and we had to wait on the replacement part for this one when it failed meaning heat did not travel to that zone.

I kept hearing that the Dallas market was going to be heating up, real estate was at an all time low and interest rates were insanely low.  

This keeps heating and especially cooling costs down in those long hot summers!

My own line in the sand COC is 20% min day one which I admit is tough in MF in today's heated MF market. 

I ask about age, what kind of electrical wire is in the house, the type of heat, ie furnace, boiler, etc. 

Increasing interest rates on long bonds can often be a result of the economy heating up but it can also be a result of many other things.  

People are more frugal when they have some immediate (at least monthly) feedback on how much their "heat at night and AC in the day" habits cost them.

From the manufacturer these typically come with the pink insulation and then either a plastic or mesh "underbelly" to keep out rodents and serve as a barrier.In the south we don't like breathing between the underbelly and subfloor due to heat rising and to support ventilation, but in the north they have a mesh to allow for the opposite.
