Several people including my electrician have told me to really fight this because it should be grandfathered in since the house was in this condition when I bought it.

It was such a refreshing change of pace to go from fighting against hard competition with SFRs (the kind of property everyone and their mother is chasing after) to land (where you're basically the only player in town).Choosing the right niche really does change the whole game (I probably wouldn't have gotten anywhere if I hadn't figured this out early on).

The seller is your bank, and then in 3 years when you do go to a bank you will have that experience and track record and the bank will fight over you.
