I have a commercial cleaning business, so I can easily assign a cleaner so not worried about clean between visits.

We all make the same claims. ie: “premium service”, “hand-picked homes”, homeowner-friendly onboarding”, “leading industry technology”, “24/7 communication or local support”, “maintenance programs”, “hotel quality linen program”, “preferred vendors” … blah blah blah I sell within what I would consider a “traditional” vacation rental market. ie - your vacation rental is likely not in danger of being put out of business by the local government… an example close to home for me - The City of Dallas’s recent STR Ban.

After the sale of a business and our current house in WA state, we will have about $200k to put down on a personal residence in Maine.

What have been your biggest obstacles or issues that youve had getting started or with your current business?

I'm not sure if this has been touched on previously but it recently became an issue that I never planned on dealing with.My business purchased a duplex back in November, and one of the tenants picked up and moved out with no notice about a month ago.

Higher cost of funds + higher operational costs = larger focus on operational efficiencyA positive that is sure to come from the rise in virtually all expenses associated with running a business is that owner/operators will be forced to tidy up their operations. 

I am also looking for private money lenders to help me finance my business.
