By the time you add up the self-employment tax and administrative cost of running a property management business and filing a separate tax return for that business, you will not likely come out ahead.If you were providing property management services for other investors, that would be a different situation.

Would it differ or matter if property is being used as short term(i.e airbnb) Or Longterm rental ?

There is plenty of opportunities here and they will be different than what opportunities you find in Midwest.

But they never inform us of the increased premiums, even when they already sent us the quotation for a different price.And when they do not give me the answer clearly, they mentioned that I can terminate the policies if I do not like.
