Also, it doesn't help out your brand reputation if you're constantly asking for reductions or you're hoping an uneducated buyer will come along and buy your overpriced deal.

Further, though I don't recall reading this in my textbook on labor economics, I expect a reduction in people's living expenses by removing the necessity of rental payments(by passing an eviction moratorium, for example) would have a similar impact, but I'm just hypothesizing here.

I believe the lower cost of mortgages is mainly due to the reduction in interest rates.Personally, I believe we will see a phase of increasing inflation starting at some point in the next 5 years.The other thing, and that's actually a really interesting data point is the income to payment ratio.

While it's fun to track, I don't know really think this type of data should hold much weight and I don't think buying in hopes of catching appreciation is the best strategy for most people.
