Hello everyone - My wife and I are considering purchasing a 1927 craftsman style home in North Oak Cliff.

I was hoping to talk to a lender in this region who could assist in vetting my finances to see what I can feasibly take on with more conventional styles of loans; or what type of options they have to offer.

I know folks who have investment houses here, but most are retired and do not live locally, and one I spend more time teaching than truly discussing. 

BP is great at teaching people how to do just that, and I am a huge believer in being self-sufficient, so I wish you good luck and God speed if that is your choice, you’re in the right place to learn how.

I bought a garden style comdo for 94k when I was twenty, that was ten years ago, first person in my family to own my own place, did it on my own with no help from anyone.

Some people like to teach thank god.

@Chris C. nice work on that.I would like to add that for rentals, documenting the paint colors, tiles style color, cabinet pulls, etc. is very worth it.  

In general, I would listen to the advice above and say that pushing yourself to learn and then actually committing to do something will teach you much more than any training will over a few days.Come out to one of the BP meet ups - there has been one in Milpitas for the last couple of months and just ask away!

Get involved in a note education program - There are a number of programs out there that do a good job of teaching you the ins and outs of the note business.

The others are rude and are 'a demand for an immediate response'.If you have a serious, complicated issue that has a convoluted if-then-omg-what-if style of discussion, then schedule an appointment and pay for the consultation time.
