Stellar first steps toward learning and growing in RE! 

My passion lies in real estate investment, and I am currently working on becoming a successful real estate investor in the Halifax/HRM area.Growing up, I was fortunate enough to learn the ins and outs of the real estate industry from my father, who owned and managed 65 units.

Really apologize if this is a stupid question, but I’m new to RE investing so I hope to get some help with this basic question. i recently went into contract for my first rental property out of state (PA).

I know condos might not be the best investment, but I'd rather own something in the city than keep paying rising rent. 

While it could have strained cash flow and impacted real estate investment if enacted, there's no immediate need to worry, as this proposal is not expected to become law.

I live there and invest and in my opinion the cities investment, constant development and growth are showing dividends for investors.

CA and I want to invest out of state.

A solid W2 income can be a big advantage when it comes to securing investment property loans, so it's smart that you're recognizing that.

I remember hearing on the BP real estate podcast at some point Scott describing how selling an investment property after 5ish years and trading it in for a more expensive property was the right move financially.

If you had a competitive advantage you need to understand note investing and how to do due diligence on it to see if it’s a legit note and feel for pricing expectationsNot saying it cannot be done but there are every few brokers in the space.If you are trying to do this as a way to generate revenue, unfortunately I think you will be disappointed
