I was there just last week, my first time up close and personal on the American side. was very shocked and disturbed at what I saw so close to such a beautiful wonder! 

Our tenants unit did test positive for lead in several areas, BUT we had 9 lead removal contractors come through for quotes and all were shocked that the child had elevated levels because the house was in such great condition.

We were shocked b/c we hadn't seen that info/possibility anywhere, tho we were brand-spankin'-new and might have missed it.That particular property wound up going back onto the MLS, where, after failing to sell for 5 months, it again went to auction.com, where it finally sold for 21k more than our offer (tho, as an aside, the sales price reported in the MLS was a lot less than I recalled seeing it go for in that final auction, which I watched).I was so mad at auction.com that I haven't bid again, haha.

I was quite shocked because it seems chill and has some real charm and being from the coast and having gone in to Boston all my life, plus having lived in Boston back in the 80's when crime was really bad there, I had assumed a move that far West would mean retiring my street smarts.

It is shocking to see how little food they have at home.

READ THE FINE PRINT  which no one does.. and they are shocked when they have them called or cant access them mid project.. 

I'm still shocked at how much RE has improved our lives.

Instead, prepare for the worst and if things are better, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

But they were overall cool about it and shockingly helpful.Selling or keeping the house once the squatters are gone... hard to say.

Heck I am shocked if I had known I would have bought it.
