One of the tenants says she had a security deposit, but it was 2 owners and 8 years ago, and nobody knows if the security deposit was passed on, or how much it was for.The daughter (current landlord) does not have any paperwork receiving a transfer of security deposit, so I am not sure if I am entitled to demand she come up with it and transfer it to me?

@Katy LogueIt’s a tough call for me...Many larger banks will service the loans themselves so at least paperwork/online access is through their main website.

Personally, I could care less if someone is offering me mortgage or cash, as long as I confirm that the loan officer has reviewed real paperwork and confirmed they have cash in the bank to close, for their deposit, and closing costs.
