I have one property that I bought last year for $475kCurrent value is $520kInterest rate 6.75%loan amount is $352,000 (I put 25% down when I bought it)Monthly P/I escrow is $2680Rents for $2400im debating putting 100k on the loan and recasting it. this will lower the payment roughly $650 a month and will make it cash flow.

But your goals, timelines, etc are not outlined at all.Common issues I see on these forums: everyone thinks they are getting a little cash flow, but over the long term, they are a) not getting as much as they underwrite and/or b) typically hurting long term value by creating cash flow through deferred maintenance.

I think it is fine as long as their belonging are covered under someone's renter's insurance, but would most people request each individual tenant's have their own Renter's Insurance?
