Here you would take a "reasonable" salary and split the rest into dividends which pass through to your personal return and avoid SE tax.The S-Corp would provide liability protection as well as long as it is properly maintained.

And now that I think about it... as I recall Nike, Motorolla, Intel, etc. were dealing with key employee's property management and resales when they went abroad for say two years or more, which was typically just 'outsourced' to local companies, much like say finding a buyer's agent in another demographic to work with LO buyers and sellers for a percentage split, so one can do deals outside of their own back yard.

get a set of plans and bid them out.. add up all the bids and that is your cost.excavation.. foundation rough plumb rough heat framing windows roof siding insulation and sheet rock.. probably cabinets as well.then you can take it from there do your own finish work paint .. hire out flooring and granite counters etc. and you can do the finish plumb and electrical but I would have the same people that did the rough do that all for one price.
