It reflects committing the cardinal sin of creating a ho-hum house to one of the biggest and most expensive houses in a fifteen square block radius of a lower middle class neighborhood.  

Marketing isn't free - and the successful marketers are spending thousands of dollars a month to generate leads - Are you ready to commit the budget to marketing in order to compete with the number of people sending letters to homeowners?

Supplementing the income I think can get people into better housing and spread the crime out a little, where we don't have as much crime because there wouldn't be such (not eliminated) a divide in the wealth which could lower the need to commit "survival crimes" Again this is one person's idea and theory of how to slow down a major problem.

If you decide to rent while you wait, be sure you do not commit the rental to ANYTHING beyond your target date to relist, and be very clear with prospective Tenants of your plan.
