I don't know that we could sell to another buyer and then impose restrictions (to keep the tenants) on whomever took them over. 

Odd that the other units are not rented if they have owned it for a while and still have a mortgage.

The response I've gotten is that they are restricted by fair housing and have to treat people the same (or something like that).I just searched for "adverse action notices" and no we are not receiving them.

The worst thing you can do is do nothing.People have odd priorities, they buy cars for cash (a depreciating asset), and buy an appreciating asset with a loan (which has an interest rate).

Your inspection period may allow you to back out for any reason, OR it may contain restrictions.

I ask mainly because on one property I wanted to view, the listing agent kind of insisted I have an agent contact them which I thought was odd.
