If the funds are in a traditional IRA or 401k, you should transfer them to a traditional IRA account with the same investment selection I mentioned.Leave the funds in the appropriate account at Vanguard until you are ready to transfer the funds to a self directed IRA that will be of a matching tax status (Roth or traditional).

It depends upon many things such as the occupancy status of the property is vacant, clear title, loan origination issues, who the underlying investor is etc.....If the property is occupied, the first step will be eviction.
