That has been my understanding from the many books and video series that I've encountered so far.If you would, please keep us updated on how things are going and how you reach your next milestone.

It seems to me a typical real estate guru scam. 

@Rick BassettRevenge on the scammers, hopefully you turned your findings over to the police and they actually do something, actually since that scam is multi-state wide i believe that makes it a federal crime. lol  good work your awesome man!!!!

He has a youtube video with brent Daniels on TTP channel.Juan reached out to me to join his mentorship program but it seems like he is a scam.  

It's like anything in life, one person makes millions, the next states that it's a scam, or you can't make money doing it.

Until you mentioned paying them, I thought you were onto a pretty good scam. 

Very sad stories and it seems clear if Morris wasn't the mastermind, at a minimum he was the unlicensed broker executing the Oceanpointe scam.

Oh, and any magistrate that I've encountered is going to bear down on you about your efforts to move on and get a new tenant ASAP....as in what does your log of efforts and interviews reflect. 

Can't make enough money off of one 'allegedly' worthless scam, sue one of the guys that expose you!"

Part of the game but these lessons help us strengthen our systems and implement additional preventative measures for the future.That said, red flags I've encountered have been:- Unreachable references: wrong numbers, non-working emails, etc.- Offers to pay 6+ months rent in advance: This can sometimes be a sign of motivation from qualified tenants but in other instances, a chance for someone to get into the unit and stop paying rent once the rent-advance period is over- No contact information for previous landlords- Missing information for previous employers, financial documents and rental historyOther red flags can come from the interview process.
