I visited Than's "workshop" before I ran into BP and I wouldn't say that you should expect much networking from experienced investors there, but there could be a few who are scoping out prospects for gathering new investors to start their own teams. 

I'd ask other local investors in your area for a referral, or visit Avvo.com, often can find good folks on there.

I mean at first it sounds crazy, why am I buying a house that I have never seen and don't plan on visiting anytime soon?

What I have done and 100% recommend doing is visiting with 10 or so community banks and credit unions to see what they can offer you.

I will be in PA visiting for 1 week. 

And they did.But I wasn't taking a chance with the appraisals because I don't control what company gets called and don't know what their re-visit fees would be. 

@Trevor Scheiderer yes weekend travel is fine and you don’t have to visit often you just want to make sure you feel good about the properties and the team!

I recommend you visit a local lender or two and ask.
