I handle the oil tanks a bit differently , I dip the tank and measure the amount , I have the conversion chart for how many inches equal a gallon .

The concepts work I guess (I have not taken any of his courses but others I have checked out were based on concepts that were plausible ), but for what cost to you vs returns you will get ... that's hard to measure.
