You’ll save on property taxes, state income taxes, insurance, maintenance, purchase price, gas, food, etc...but if you don’t plan to occupy it but rather to rent it out, tell everyone that over and over and don’t sign the paperwork saying it’s going to be your primary.

If you want to look into the security deposit, they both should have copies of her paperwork which states who pays the security deposit.

We requested the lease agreements and there was some information missing/ wrong. 1 agreement looks good and is up in October of this year. 1 agreement is from 2018-2019 and there is no paper work that says they have extended their lease.
