Have you thought about connecting with the local investor group there?

Being new in the area where I live, I don't have many connections, so my preference would be to work at a company that primarily supplies leads to their MLOs.

-I have good connections with a local contractor that could do it.

Make friends with those who have money and are successful and have connections to make then successful, some (almost all) of them are men. ;-) Before you blow a gasket, I've been married to a wonderful woman for over 40 years.
