ON of the issues is you simply cant build for much less than 75 dollars a foot PLUS the cost of land.. so not sure what your version of affordable it.However you can buy homes right there in B ham for 20 dollars a foot or less.. that IS your affordable housing.. granted its not nice brand new.. its sweat equity.. but it is available.. then the other issue is even though its available a lot of people dont want to live in those areas because of crime and the schools.. its tough really is.. our affordable housing in Portland starts at 300k.you can buy homes for about 225k that are used fixer types.. but nothing cheaper.. unless its a bombed out home.

Using the sales approach, the appraiser will be using data from comparable sales to establish the price per square foot and the subsequent adjustments and also provide a 1007 that does a comparable market analysis.  

And I am just not trying to foot that bill for it.

I just got into rei as of June of this year and just trying to get some footing.  

But like others have said, I wouldn't want my supervisors or co-workers thinking I had one foot out the door and miss out on a promotion or opportunity.

In a 1,000 square foot 3 bed/1 bath house, using the cheap receptacles and switches will cost about $30, and using the spec-grade ones will cost about $60.
