(I'm going to have Keith reach out to you soon.)However, since this is a public forum, I wanted to answer your questions for your benefit, but also should anyone else be having those same questions.Please note that we just had our third Developer's Academy a few weeks ago in Indianapolis where we discussed all of this plus more.At our initial Developer's Academy last year we had Bob Copper speak on Feasibility Studies.  

"Sounds like" is no substitute for educational research by studying applicable statutes and performing due diligence. 

Again, forgive me if you completely understand this, but I've said it many times on this forum before (and will probably repeat it again) - language is important (in the legal arena it's critical) and BP is a very large learning forum, so we must be careful not to instill any inaccurate or misguiding information that could steer somebody towards an erroneous perception.

When I say I don't know anything, I've been a mortgage underwriter for many years and have spent thousands on studying the various processes.

If you do, studies prove you'll spend more money.

I am not basing this off any studies and admit I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.Why wouldn't I go green?  

A commercial loan officer will expect you to speak their language...its like visting another country...don't expect them to know your language and take some time to learn the basics and apologize when you don't understand.

What other topics would you begin studying to ensure you've got the right skills for syndication?

One word of caution though private market policies have tricky language in them and many consumers buy policies that they don't understand just on price, only to find out after a loss that they really had a crappy policy.

I would suggest you study a map and determine what is a realistic distance for you to travel and then contact real estate firms in the area.
